École C. C. Loughlin Elementary School

Information about Our School

École C.C. Loughlin School in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador is a school with students from Kindergarten to Grade Six. Approximately 450 students attend the school with 35 teachers and 10 support staff.

C.C. Loughlin offers both an English program and a French Immersion program. Our French Immersion students reside in many areas of our community while our English students reside on the west side of Corner Brook. The school is named after Mr. Clayton Loughlin (1909‑1993) to recognize and honor his contribution to education in Corner Brook.

C.C. Loughlin is a Big Buddy, Little Buddy School. Children from higher grades are matched with children from lower grades to help each other learn in many different ways. This program provides students an opportunity to succeed academically while at the same time having fun.
